After deciding the song choice, I started planning my filming. Before I want to create a narrative MV but it didn’t work that well because the events that I had planned for the song were not enough to be filmed. Therefore after discussing with my friend, we decided to do half-storytelling and half-lip sync. Then we started to film it, but we faced lots of challenges. I would film a new version of this song because I’m not satisfied with the old one, and had made lots of mistakes.

The first mistake I made is a bad attempt at lip sync, although I am grateful to my friend for helping he hadn’t heard of this song before, therefore his lip sync parts were either slow or fast, which really bothered me during the editing. This was also the second mistake I made, because his lip sync was either too fast or slow, I should have prepared more of the clips! (I deleted all the clips and only got the final clips that I filmed) I think this was also because of my lack of filming experiences. These are the mistakes that I made in filming.

Also, there are some points that I would not called a mistake, but still could have been better and can be improved on.

Firstly, I need to add more transitions and more different shots and angles to the filming, I did not use a big enough variety of shots which had influences the expressions.

Secondly, if I want to use Lip-sync next time, I must make it look clearer. Another thing that could be improved on is having a clear filming quality.

My MV was not that good compared to others, one of the main reason would be the quality of filming. Maybe I could improve this with focusing more during filming, and use more proper editing program. Also I could add more filter to the MV to improved but based on the problem I mentioned before (filming quality), if I add filter to it, the filming quality would be even worse. Therefore, it reminds me again to film with good quality and use a camera instead of my phone, then it will bring convenience to the editing. Generally, I wouldn’t call it a really bad work, I spent time to it and made most of the things by myself. It was the first piece that I had done by myself without any help from classmates and teachers. The production was immature. Then I decided to film it again, which following my own ideas and song choice, but film it in different ways and improved more on editing.
